दरअसल, इन दोनों मंदिरों में अद्भुत नक्काशीदार स्तंभ और मूर्तियां हैं। हर खंबे पर अलग नक्कासी आपका मन मोह लेगी इन खंबों पर नक्कासी तो शानदार है ही परंतु जब आप इन खंबों पर कोई ठोस वस्तु मारते हैं तो इनमें से अलग अलग तरह की आवाज निकलती है जैसे किसी ढोलक से अलग अलग तरह की आवाज निकलती है।

अहोबिलम एक प्राकृतिक सुंदरता से भरपूर मंदिर है जो एक पहाड पर स्थित है। जो हैदराबाद से 357 किलोमीटर दूर स्थित है बाई रोड आप हैदराबाद से सादनगर, महबूबनगर, कुरनूल और ननदयाल के रास्ते अहोबिलम तक पहुंच सकते हैं। अहोबिलम से मंदिर तक का रास्ता आपको पैदल ही तय करना पड़ेगा जिसे तीन से चार घंटे में आप आसानी से पार कर सकते हैं।
मंदिर का रास्ता हरे भरे जंगल और पहाडों से होकर गुजरता है। जो किसी जन्नत से कम नहीं लगता सारे रास्ते आपको जंगल से आती ठंडी और खुशबूदार हवा एक अलग ही सुकून देती है जिसे आप महसूस कर सकते हैं। मंदिर के रास्ते में आपको बहुत से छोटे छोटे झरने देखने को मिलेंगे जिनका पानी पीकर आप मशीन के मिनरल वाटर को भूल जाएंगे यह पानी इतना साफ सुथरा ठण्डा और मीठा है।

इस प्राकृतिक मिनरल वाटर के सामने शहर के सारे मशीनी मिनरल वाटर फेल हो जाते हैं। मंदिर तक जाने के लिए आपको काफी ऊंचाई तक ट्रेकिंग करनी पड़ेगी जो सुंदर तो है ही साथ में काफी खतरनाक भी है। इस रास्ते में काफ खड़ी चढ़ाई है जिसे आप रस्सी की मदद से चढ सकते हैं। रस्सी इसलिए क्योंकि रास्ते में काफी ढीले पत्थर हैं जो कभी भी फिसल सकते है। जिससे किसी को भी चोट लग सकती है। अहोबिलम ट्रेकिंग के शौकिनों के लिए एक पसंदीदा जगह है यहां पर वो सब कुछ है जो एक ट्रेकिंग लवर को चाहिए जैसे जंगल, पहाड और पानी।

7. लेपाक्षी मंदिर
आंध्र प्रदेश के अनंतपुर में स्थित एक ऐतिहासिक गांव है लेपाक्षी। पौराणिक मान्यताओं के अनुसार लेपाक्षी वही जगह है जहां पर जब रावण माता सीता का हरण करके ले जा रहा होता है तो पक्षीराज जटायु का रावण से युद्ध होता है और रावण जटायु का एक पंख काट देता है और जटायु घायल अवस्था में इसी स्थान पर आकर गिरता है।
यह गांव 16 वीं शताब्दी में बने अद्भुद लेपाक्षी मंदिर के लिए जाना जाता है। मंदिर बहुत बड़ा है और इसके परिसर में भगवान शिव, भगवान विष्णु और भगवान वीरभद्र को समर्पित तीन मंदिर स्थित हैं इस मंदिर को हैंगिंग पिलर मंदिर के नाम से भी जाना जाता है। यह मंदिर 70 खंबों पर खडा है इसमें से एक खंबा जमीन को छूता नहीं है। जो कि हवा में लटका हुआ है इसी लटके हुए खंबे की वजह से इसे हैंगिंग पिलर टेंपल कहा जाता है। ये पिलर भी पहले लटका हुआ नहीं था एक ब्रिटिस इंजिनियर ने ये जानने के लिए किये मंदिर खंबों पर कैसे खडा है इस खंबे को हिला दिया तभी से ये खंबा लटका हुआ है।
लोगों की मान्यता है कि इस लटके हुए खंबे के नीचे से कपड़ा निकालने से मनोकामना पूरी होती है। इस मंदिर का निर्मान 1583 में दो भाई वीरूपन्ना और वीरंना ने करवाया था जो विजयनगर के राजा के यहां काम करते थे। हालांकि पौराणिक मान्यताओं के अनुसार लेपाक्षी मंदिर परिसर में स्थित वीरभद्र मंदिर का निर्मान अगस्ता ऋषि ने करवाया था।

मंदिर परिसर में एक चुने के पत्थर की चट्टान में भगवान गणेश की भव्य प्रतिमा भी मौजूद है। जिसकी लोग पूजा करते हैं। मंदिर को छत में भगवान शंकर की बहुत ही सुंदर चित्रकारी की गई है जिसकी आज भी सभी लोग सराहना करे हैं। इत मंदिर की भव्यता और सुंदरता कोसी अजूबे से कम नहीं है।
